Three Best Photos from Framing Assignment

These are the three best photos I took for the framing assignment.

The first photo is an example of a picture take in portrait format.  I like this picture because of the use of reflection.  I feel that the American flag being reflected in a puddle of dirty water shows the state of America today.  I also like how the portrait format of the picture mirrors the shape of the flag and flag pole reflected in the water.  This helps to draw the eye to the subject of the picture, the flag.

The second picture is an example of a shot taken in a close up format.  I like this picture because the close up format focuses all of the viewer's attention on the subject, the sunflower.  It also allowed me to take the picture when the sun was behind the flower while avoiding lens flare.

The last picture is an example of a picture taken with a wide angle format.  I like this picture because the wide angle allowed me to capture a large portion of a lake at sunrise in one picture.  This helps to demonstrate the enormity of nature in one image.
