Diptych
This diptych is of a pair of carvings in downtown Portland. Before I made the two photos into a diptych I lowered the contrast of all of the colors in the pictures except for red, yellow, and orange. This made the background of both photos black and white, while not altering the carvings' appearances. I like this diptych because the carvings are so out of place in the center of downtown Portland.
Triptych
This triptych is of the tire swing at my elementary school. Before I made this triptych I enhanced the contrast of the blues and purples, and decreased the contrast of the greens, reds and yellows. This helps to draw attention to the tire swing. I like this triptych because it reminds me of my time in elementary school. I was terrified of the tire swing. In a way, this is my tribute to it, a way for me to remember how afraid of it I was.
